The Fountains of Faith Hunt
A group called The Guild Almoners, thought to be associated with the Golden Guild, led a secret crusade to ensure water could not fall into the hands of any dreaded tyrant who happened to set foot in the City of London in the United Kingdom. By hiding secret codes, they could be sure the water at various sites was under their control. You just need to look them up. Follow the trail, listen to the whispers, speak the code words and gather the letters that spell a truth often overlooked, and within that truth also lies a warning.
It was predicted long ago by the Guild that the time would come where humanity would traverse the streets with their heads hanging low, becoming less and less aware of their surroundings and in turn the history buried within. But there would be a select few who would instinctively stumble across the Emblem carried through the ages, and be reminded to hold their heads high, and look up to marvel not only at nature and many structures born of the endeavour to succeed, but at the trail of the Guild hidden in plain sight...

The Guild suggests setting aside approximately 3 to 4 hours to truly follow the trail and seek out the gold from days of old.

The Founding
Long before any council or committee, there were the Guild Almoners — a name borrowed from the old church officers who once distributed alms and charity to the poor. Nobody agrees on whether the Almoners were ever a real order, or just a convenient name given, after the fact, to a scattered movement of Victorian philanthropists, vicars, and temperance campaigners who spent decades quietly funding clean water for a city that badly needed it.
What's certain is that they left their mark — literally — on fountains across London, some inscribed with scripture, some with nothing but a name and a date. The Almoners believed thirst was a kind of faith crisis: a person who has to drink from a filthy river, or from a public house, has been failed by their city. So they built fountains instead, and trusted that people would find them.
The Trail
Eleven of those fountains form the core of this trail. Find all eleven, in the right order, and you'll collect eleven letters — the Almoners' own quiet warning to everyone who ever walked this far without a true respect and understanding of the importance of water.
Some have stopped running. None of them have stopped meaning something. Some are still trying to be useful.
