1. About us and acceptance of these terms
This website and the "Fountains of Faith" self-guided experience (the "Service") is operated by Evolu-Sol Property Ltd T/A Fountains of Faith ("we", "us", "our") of 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, United Kingdom. By accessing the website or taking part in the experience, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. What the Service is
Fountains of Faith is a self-guided walking experience across the City of London, using riddles, on-site details, and a website or app to guide participants between a series of real public locations.
The narrative framing (including the fictional "Guild of the Golden Vein" and its history) is entertainment content created for this experience.
Real facts about buildings, landmarks, and history are included for interest and believed accurate at the time of writing, but are provided for entertainment purposes and should not be relied upon as a definitive historical or academic source.
3. Who can take part
The Service is open to participants of all ages. Children should be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times, particularly when crossing roads or navigating busy areas of the City.
4. Your safety
Fountains of Faith takes place outdoors, on public streets, in a busy working city. By taking part, you acknowledge that:
•You are responsible for your own safety and that of anyone in your care while taking part
•You should observe normal road safety, including at crossings and around traffic, cyclists, and construction
•Locations may include uneven paving, steps, or areas with limited accessibility
•The opening hours, accessibility, and physical condition of any building, church, garden, or public space referenced in the Service may change without notice and are outside our control
•Weather, events, or closures may affect your ability to complete the experience on any given day
•You take part entirely at your own risk
•We do not accept responsibility for injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation, except where this would unlawfully exclude our liability (see Section 9).
5. Intellectual property
All content forming part of the Service — including the "Guild of the Golden Vein" narrative, riddles, artwork, illustrated cards, maps, branding, and QR codes — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You may use this content for your own personal enjoyment of the experience. You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from it for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
6. Participating businesses, offers, and rewards
Some Marks or Waypoints may be associated with independent local businesses who may or may not offer a discount, reward, or other benefit to participants (for example, on presentation of a phrase or completed clue).
You acknowledge that:
•These offers are provided at the sole discretion of the business in question, not by us
•Offers are subject to that business's own availability, opening hours, stock, and terms, and may be changed, withdrawn, or expire at any time without notice
•We make reasonable efforts to keep offer information accurate but do not guarantee that any specific offer will be available when you visit
•We are not responsible for the quality, safety, pricing, or provision of any goods or services provided by participating businesses
•There is no cash alternative to any offer, and offers are not transferable unless the business states otherwise
7. Acceptable use
When using the Service, you agree not to:
•Attempt to bypass, guess, scrape, or systematically extract clue codes, answers, or content other than through normal participation
•Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it, or interfere with other participants' enjoyment of it
•Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
8. Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service — including individual clues, Marks, Waypoints, or participating businesses — at any time, without notice. We do not guarantee the Service will be available at all times or free from errors.
9. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under English law.
Subject to that, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to "the amount you paid to access the Service, if any".
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when they were last revised. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
